You are thinking that you need to lose weight. You are thinking how to accomplish
your plan - how to get started, what to do and how it will be. And - you say, "Yes, tomorrow
I will start".. yet that "tomorrow" does not mean the next day.
Saying "tomorrow" means putting off starting your diet. If you truly want to get started, get started NOW. Get started by changing the way you think about diet. It is not a plan for a restricted time - this also causes us to think about "getting started tomorrow". We should aim to lose weight by changing our habits for good - not just for weeks or months. If you plan to do differently for few weeks - sure you'll lose some weight but it is also quite sure that once you return back to "normal" then you will also return to your start weight and maybe some more.
So here tips to get started for real:
1) Change the way you think. Don't think about a limited time diet. Think about a change in your habits - changing them to become healthy, insha'Allaah.
2) Join a Weightloss Support Group for sisters
3) Add walking to your daily routines if just possible. Exercise helps you to lose weight and walking is a good way to get started. And best of all - it requires no special equipment, can be done in hijaab, doesn't require any special technique..
4)JUST GET STARTED! You can't achieve anything unless you get started.
So sister, take care of yourself - for the sake of Allaah - so that you have more energy for ibaadah, more energy to play with
your children, more energy to take care of all your chores and duties.
